Giving back and supporting our community is an important aspect of our event and our committee. Each year a charitable foundation is selected to be the beneficiary of the Brilliance Awards silent auction.
The 2019 benefactor is Ignite Adaptive Sports, a local non-profit that serves disabled children and adults with ski and winter sports experiences. This includes wounded active duty and military veterans served through a US Paralympic Military Program Ignite developed in 2009, in collaboration with the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Ignite Adaptive Sports’ mission is to “ignite personal growth, independence, and confidence in people with disabilities on the Front Range, and in surrounding mountain and Northern Colorado communities, by providing caring, safe, and fun adaptive winter snow sports opportunities.” Their services include providing alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, ski biking, and snowshoeing opportunities. Their students range in age from 5 to almost 90 and have varying disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, missing limbs, paralysis, visual impairments, and post-traumatic stress disorder, with many experiencing more than one type of disability.

All proceeds from the auction will be 100% directed to Ignite, and your donation is 100% tax deductible through the Brilliance Awards Nonprofit Corporation. To participate in and win auction items you must be present and provide payment the night of the event.
